Selected Achievements:

Designed and developed ultraclean, high vacuum pumping systems to activate and test metal hydride sorbent beds to support the fabrication of flight hardware for a Sorption Cryocooler project.
  • Removed contaminants during vacuum treatments and monitored contamination using residual gas analyzers
  • Supported testing of components and materials using this equipment for closed-cycle Joule-Thomson refrigerators to cool high-sensitivity detectors to temperatures below 19 K by the formation of liquid hydrogen.
Engineered hardware for Plasma Vapor Deposition (PVD) Machines in support of Intel, Motorola and other Semi-conductor companies.

Developed concept verification tool for a 300 mm Ionized Plasma Vapor Deposition (IPVD) Project.

Solved field service problems and provided manufacturing support relating to PVD equipment.

Solved supplier’s manufacturing problems in relation to IPVD and PVD.

Brought together an industry proposal consortium for spacecraft and spacecraft instrumentation.

Contributed to the NASA New Millennium Program (NMP), NASA Discovery program, and Planetary Instrument Definition and Development (PIDDP) proposals.

Developed single photon counting and imaging device.

Consulting in vacuum technology and electron and ultraviolet optics.

Design, assembly, and operation of environmental testing equipment for UV optics related NASA project.

Developed Nuclear Magnetic Resonance Experiment for research on polymers.

Designed and developed facilities and equipment for studies of selected electron collisions of atoms and molecules supporting research and data analysis of flight experimentation data.

Designed and implemented secondary mirror assembly and control for a 48" Infrared/visible telescope.

Designed and built first ultra-stable magnetically confined electron collision Vacuum Ultraviolet (UV) source for an Electron Collisions Processes Laboratory.

Designed and built UV calibration facility for space related UV optics programs.

Designed and built UV calibration and research Instrumentation

Cryogenic, Turbomolecular, Molecular Drag, Diffusion, Ion, Titanium Sublimation, Mechanical (Oil and Dry) Pump experts.
